PBPA works closely with local, state, and federal lawmakers to advocate for policies that limit overregulation while protecting the quality of life across the Permian Basin. Beyond our advocacy efforts, we support both our members and the broader community by offering critical safety resources and continuing education.

Through monthly luncheons, the Permian Basin Oil & Gas (PBOG) magazine, active committees, industry forums, and other key initiatives, PBPA equips members with the knowledge and tools to stay informed and prepared in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

Members at the President’s Circle, Permian Vanguard, and Black Gold levels enjoy exclusive access to timely and sensitive updates on legislative, regulatory, and judicial matters—including proposed laws, expected rule changes, and legal actions taken on behalf of the industry.

Corporate members at the Gusher level or higher gain entry to the PBPA Member Center, which includes committee reports, meeting recaps, a calendar of industry events, and a detailed membership directory. Members at the Wildcat level or above are also eligible to participate in PBPA committees, which help drive our advocacy, share best practices, and provide valuable insight into the industry's most pressing challenges.
